Facts About Plastics
Plastics now comprise one of the biggest threats to marine environments. Plastic does NOT biodegrade. Over a trillion plastic bags are consumed each year. Scientists estimate that it takes 500 to 1000 years for a plastic bag to break down. 100,000 marine mammals and turtles die per year because they eat, swallow, or get tangled up in plastics. If just 1 out of 5 people in our country used reusable bags, we could save roughly 1.3 trillion bags in our life time!
Isn’t it time to make Bunch Bags part of your reusable bag habit? You can make a difference!
