Like the Wellspring, the Woolspring Mattress is the perfect combination of inner firmness, outer softness, and overall flexibility but with the added comfort of Eco-Valley Wool!
The heart of the Woolspring is a 2″ piece of Certipur Foam surrounded by Wellspring™ fiber batting. Two extra pieces 2.5” convoluted Certipur foam wrapped in Wellspring™ fiber creates approximately 8″ of total thickness and loft. A fluffy layer of high quality Eco-Wool is the final layer, enhancing your bodily warmth in winter and coolness in summer. The Woolspring is environmentally friendly, durable and very comfortable. Our futons are tufted in order to keep all of the materials in place.
We acquire the Eco-Valley wool from Natural Felt, our sister company. Natural Felt creates bats of wool by blending wool from different sheep breeds. They visit each wool grower to assure that the wool comes from healthy sheep, raised sustainably on managed lands. Small farmers are paid a premium for the best fleeces of their flocks. Joining together, these small growers provide fleece that is cleaned and carded which produces the finest known woolen batting available.
The Supreme is the perfect combination of inner firmness, outer softness, and overall flexibility. Ideally suited for both folding frames and platform frames, this mattress can handle it all. Our futons are hand tufted in order to keep all of the materials in place.
Affordable Natural Bedding Since 1981!
The heart of the Supreme is a two-inch piece of high density foam surrounded by Wellspring™ fiber batting (made from recycled 2 liter pop bottles). Two extra pieces 2.5″ convoluted high density foam wrapped in Wellspring™ fiber creates Nine + inches of total loft. The Supreme is environmentally friendly, durable and very comfortable. This futon is ideally suited to be used every day as a sofa and the occasional bed.
Our exclusive Wellspring fiber is a revolutionary material that utilizes the second use of plastics. It’s a virgin fiber that is generated from recycled polyethylene, familiar to you as two liter beverage containers. It’s clean, odor free, and very resilient. The fibers look and feel incredibly like cotton; fluffy, soft, and very finely textured.
The Wellspring fibers are amazingly light. Our recycled fiber is nonallergenic and extremely comfortable. Wellspring fiber prevents millions of bottles from ending up in landfills.
Wellspring products do not off gas VOCs. Not even a little! In fact the farther away you get from the “virgin” run of the P.E.T. fiber the more removed the product is from chemical compounds that can off gas. And since the 2 litre soda bottle is one of the most recycled mediums, there is really is no gassing that occurs — and you save the environment!

Cotton Cloud is a labor of love, and allows me to do good work for the planet while benefiting the local community by employing a diverse range of people, partnering with small businesses, and donating to organizations like In Other Words Feminist Resource Center.
I’m proud to say that all Cotton Cloud products are made by hand with an emphasis on natural materials, renewable resources that are harvested in sustainable ways, and attention to detail. This has been true since I built my first futon in 1981, and my commitment to the planet and my close connection to my community are still as strong as ever. Terri Treat, Owner, Cotton Cloud Futons
