Our products are GOTS certified, a unique and rigorous certification that ensures the organic status of our textiles. These certifications define our values and give YOU the confidence in our product. These certifications set SATVA apart from the many apparel brands out there. We care about the IMPACT we make.
From the harvesting of raw materials, environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing, all the way to our recycled paper hangtags printed with soy ink, and our reusable cloth bags used for packaging — we care about the WORLD we live in. Satva is committed to sustainability and making socially responsible actions by providing premium FAIR TRADE and ORGANIC yoga apparel.
We take an all-natural approach to cotton cultivation, allowing Nature to take its own course and develop self-sustaining ecosystems that encourage biologically diverse agriculture. This eliminates groundwater contamination and toxic air pollutants. It avoids exposure to any chemicals and fertilizers for our farmers and for you. Our ingredients are the heart of our product – they lead to better quality cotton for your clothing and higher yields for farmers, fostering a better quality life for all:
Dyeing & Printing – Natural or low-impact dyes that have low metal and sulphur content are used on the cotton, including water-based inks or pigments, in a process free of heavy metals.
Production & Whitening – Double-plying or non-toxic corn starch is used to stabilize warp fibers. Safe peroxide is used to whiten cloth.
Finishing – Soft scour is soaked in warm water with soda ash, a solution with a PH of 8.5 to 8.
Seed & Soil Preparation – Natural, untreated, GMO-free seeds are cultivated for healthy crop rotation and high moisture levels.
Weed Control & Harvesting – Healthy soil develops a natural balance in the ecosystem by eliminating potential pests. Natural defoliation occurs via freezing temperatures.
