Step 1 Ladibugs Mint Serum is recommended for use with active head lice, and should be used at the first sign of head lice. May be repeated if needed. Ladibugs Mint Serum is a pesticide-free product for head lice elimination. Shake well and apply to dry hair. Let your Mint Serum sit in the hair for 15 minutes, and then wash out.

Step 2: Ladibugs Mousse is a pesticide-free product for nit and egg elimination. Apply to damp hair. Let sit for 5 minutes. Reapply Mousse and wait an additional 5 minutes.

Step 3: Patent-Pending Ladibugs Lice Comb is for combing through the hair after using Ladibugs Mint Serum and Mousse to remove any remaining lice and nit debris. (Included free in the kit)
LadiBugs’ Patent-Pending Ladibugs Lice Comb uses a double layer of staggered length, stainless steel, and spiral-grooved teeth. This design works effectively to remove both lice and nits, creating less drag on the hair while combing. The ridges on the silicone handle give you greater gripping control when hands are slippery during lice treatment comb out.
The regulation of pediculicides pesticides (lice-killing pesticides) by the FDA creates the misconception that they are safe. These pesticides, which are found in products like roach spray and weed killer, are alarmingly overused on children with lice. Here are some of those chemicals:
Lindane (Kwell) has been globally banned for use in agriculture. It is, however, still the working ingredient in more than 2 million prescriptions for head lice and scabies. Possible health effects include neurological effects, cancer, blood disorders, endocrine disruption, liver toxicity, reproductive effects and immunological effects.
Malathion (Maldison) is a highly toxic derivative of nerve gas which works by disrupting the chemical reactions in lice and your child’s nervous systems. Malathion is extremely toxic orally, and a possible carcinogen, mutagen (mutates DNA) and endocrine disrupter.
Solvents in head lice preparations contain both inert and active ingredients. Active ingredients are the chemicals that kill the lice. Inert ingredients are the carriers for these chemicals. Inert does not equal harmless, and exposure to these toxic solvents can be significantly worse than the actual chemicals themselves.

Rachel Knutson and Lisa Rudquist are two moms that are both registered nurses, whose daughters acquired head lice through a school outbreak. They tried the toxic shampoos and things they “heard” would work and spent hours combing and nit- picking. Frustrated with their options and the lack of correct information, they decided to create a business that would help kids, families, schools, camps and nursing homes eliminate head lice in a safe and natural process that is proven to be highly effective.
Rachel Knutson is no stranger to urgent health needs. After graduating from nursing school at St. Catherine University in 1995, she spent many years in intensive care units and emergency rooms. She served as the trauma coordinator at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, Minnesota.
Lisa Rudquist’s path into healthcare began at Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota, where she earned a BSN in 1998. She earned a masters degree in leadership studies from Augsburg college in 2005. Her experience is in neonatal care, and in the healthcare industry, researching and analyzing clinical studies to benefit patients.
