Lucy Minerals can be used dry with a Kabuki or Flat Top Brush. Just put a small amount in the lid, dip brush in the lid, tap off the excess, and buff all over the face. Dip your Taklon Camoflauge Brush into a few minerals and dab on blemishes, broken capillaries, and under the eyes. Then buff again with your Kabuki or Flat Top Brush.
It takes a little practice to learn how to use Mineral Makeup, but after you learn the basic techniques it is very fast and easy! To apply Lucy Minerals Foundation, dip your Kabuki or Flat Top brush into a small amount of minerals, tapping off the excess, and then buff all over the face. Then use your Concealer Brush and dab a few more minerals on anything that you need to cover. You will look more rested if you cover up any discoloration around your eye area. Especially the area between your tear duct and your nose.
For best results, we strongly encourage you to use the Finishing Powder with Lucy Minerals Foundation. The Finishing Powder gives the skin a soft airbrushed appearance and bonds with the Foundation to keep it in place for hours. If you perspire or get oily, just blot and add some more Finishing Powder and it will look like you just applied your makeup.
My name is Annie Langguth. I am an Esthetician (Skin Care Specialist). I started making mineral makeup six years ago because I have rosacea, oily skin, and adult acne. You can see here with my Lucy Minerals Foundation removed from my left cheek how well it covers. I count my blessings and have fun with my makeup. I tried commercial mineral makeup brands, but they made my skin look more oily. I started doing research and decided to make my own products. Eventually, I perfected my formula. The result is a product line that works for all skin types.
My formulas ares called "Lucy Minerals" because they are "Loose Minerals," and in honor of my adorable Chocolate Lab "Lucy." She's a beautiful, big-hearted girl and a great joy to me, which is what I want my makeup to be for all who try it!
