These Organic Latex Mattresses come in Soft, Medium and Firm densities. Soft is the most popular! They carry a 12 year warranty, and offer all the comfort of memory foam type mattresses, but without any of the off gassing that happens with synthetic foam. They also don't trap heat, have instant snap back (ie: no getting trapped in a cushy trench), and minimal motion transfer.
The 6" Organic Latex Mattress is wrapped in an organic cotton shell. The 8" Organic Latex Mattress is wrapped in quilted wool between two layers of organic cotton fabric.
Affordable Natural Bedding Since 1981!
No PBDE Flame Retardants in our Natural Latex.
Our Latex Mattresses come in two thicknesses. The 6" Standard comes in a Soft, Medium, or Firm Density. The 8" Deluxe comes in Soft, Medium, or Firm Density and includes a 2 inch soft latex topper inside a quilted wool shell.
Your Quilted Wool Shell: Handcrafted unbleached and chemical free Eco-Valley Wool quilted between two layers of organic cotton and tape edged for luxurious sleeping. Wool is naturally flame retardant, no additional chemicals are necessary. The wool shell is not meant to be removed or washed. We highly recommend our Quilted Wool Mattress Pad for extra mattress protection.

The Process: Each rubber tree weeps 15 grams of latex daily. A Queen size Core needs the daily output of 2500 trees, spread over 12 acres of rubber plantation, providing a living to eight rubber tappers. Interestingly, these rubber trees account for the removal of 143 metric tons of Carbon Di Oxide from the environment in 1 year. This is the genuine contribution to the environment.
Quality Control: Checking the hardness, weight as well a final visual check. Our 16 point Quality control procedure assures consistent quality from Raw materials to final product.
We use the Dunlop Process: This is the most common method of producing mattresses and other products made from natural latex. In this process, the serum is collected from rubber trees, then frothed in a centrifuge. The material is then poured into a mold and baked at a low temperature. Latex products made using the Dunlop process are typically more dense than those made using the Talalay process.
Benefits of Latex: Latex is naturally hypo-allergenic, breathable and provides superior orthopedic support. Dust mite and bed bug resistant material that does not promote growth and discourages them from breeding. Latex naturally conforms to the shape of your body automatically reducing pressure points.
Talalay vs. Dunlop - Which is Better? The major difference between the two processes is what happens in the mold just prior to the initial latex curing stage. In the Talalay process, only a small amount of latex compound is poured into the mold. Air is extracted to perfectly distribute the foamed liquid inside the mold and to create a consistent round, open cell structure. The mattress core is flash frozen to lock the cell structure in place and to prevent the particles from settling. In the Dunlop latex process, the molds are filled to the rim, air is not extracted, and there is no freeze stage. Therefore, the latex cell structure is less "airy". This process produces a heavier product.
