Cotton Cloud's Organic Cotton pillows are made exclusively using organic cotton sustainably farmed in Texas, and encased in an organic cotton sateen or waffled shell. Organically-grown cotton is ideal for people who have extreme chemical sensitivities. No Boric Acid.
The organic cotton is layered by hand inside the case. This technique creates a denser, flatter pillow that does not compress down as quickly, though it is still a firm pillow. Perfect for back sleepers.
The case is available in 100% organic cotton sateen or waffle. The pillows are handcrafted in our local production facility. These Organic Cotton Bed Pillows come in 5 sizes: Standard (20x25), Queen (20x30), King (20x36), Euro(26x26), and Body Pillow (20x58 price includes extra shipping cost).
Organically-grown cotton is ideal for people who have extreme chemical sensitivities. Ours is 100% certified organically-grown cotton, without boric acid powder or mineral oil. Why choose organic? Organic farming does not employ synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers, making organically-grown cotton a clean, pure, toxin-free, and natural product. Furthermore, organic farming results in sustainable, healthy soil management that reduces erosion and run-off.
The only drawback to organic cotton is that, like all organic products, the labor-intensive process increases the price. Cotton Cloud believes the cost is justified, and as consumers have become more educated about the benefits of organic, the demand for it has increased.
The Texas Department of Agriculture's Organic Certification Program certifies crops produced under an organic farming system. That is, a system of ecological soil management that relies on building humus levels through crop rotations, recycling organic wastes, and applying balanced mineral amendments. When necessary, this system uses mechanical, botanical, or biological controls that have minimum adverse effects on health and the environment. In addition, organic crops are produced without the use of synthetic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers and synthetic herbicides. Upon demonstrating compliance with National Organic Standards 7 CFR Part 205, participants are entitled to use a marketing logo identifying their products as certified organic. TDA inspects and certifies producers, processors, handlers (warehouses, distributors, brokers) and retailers of organic products.

Cotton Cloud is a labor of love, and allows me to do good work for the planet while benefiting the local community by employing a diverse range of people, partnering with small businesses, and donating to organizations like In Other Words Feminist Resource Center.
I’m proud to say that all Cotton Cloud products are made by hand with an emphasis on natural materials, renewable resources that are harvested in sustainable ways, and attention to detail. This has been true since I built my first futon in 1981, and my commitment to the planet and my close connection to my community are still as strong as ever. Terri Treat, Owner, Cotton Cloud Futons.
