Little Changes: Tales of a Reluctant Home Eco-Momics Pioneer by Kristi Marsh starts with gut-wrenching roller coaster of emotions and a diagnosis of cancer.
"In 2007, I just wanted ‘just’ to build a better body for my children and myself and it was books that filled my mind. It was books I turned to when had no more than two people in my life talk about things like endocrine disrupters or GMOS. Too afraid to think everyone else would observe me as woo-woo, out there, or maybe on a crazy post chemo warpath. At the time, I had so many questions and no answers. I had frustrations and few options. And even less options that were hopeful." Little Changes, 2014 Evergreen Gold Medal Winner!
Kristi Marsh's diagnosis began an adventure that involves a large elegant black and white Western Grebe, farm stand spinach, a meaty love story, a rock in Wyoming, and some pioneers who eventually captured national attention. Little Changes will enlighten you about the swelling epic transformation of our generation: Understanding the interaction between the products we bring into our homes and our own beautiful bodies.
Kristi's little purse size book will encourage you to become a role model for others and an advocate for a healthier environment. “By becoming an advocate for your own beautiful body and health, you are becoming an advocate for future generations. The good news is that you don’t have to do this from scratch, or alone."
Kristi Marsh shares tools, resources, and lessons learned from her journey from mainstream mom to advocate and educator, creating not just a healthy home, but a better world.
Kristi Marsh is a stay-at-home mother of teenagers, and the Founder of Choose Wiser. She is an award-winning speaker and breast cancer warrior. Kristi was diagnosed with aggressive stage three breast cancer at age thirty-five, with three young children at home. She has since become a nationally recognized and celebrated advocate for women’s environmental health.
Kristi says, “It is possible to have tremendous impact on protecting those around you – friends, family, children, and your community -- even if they aren’t interested or think you are a bit out there." Kristi makes it her work to connect us to the simmering, unfolding world of environmental health. She speaks at press conferences in Washington DC and to the CEOS and Founders of the beauty industry.
